Image Analysis
Obtaining biological images is a common practice in many research and/or diagnostic laboratories. Currently, approaches for their analysis are limited to manual work by researchers or individuals in charge, and/or the use of a very few software tools, all of which make this practice a tedious and time-consuming process.
At BKL | Bio Knowledge Lab, we are developing an ‘iaai’ system (image-assisted artificial intelligence) for the treatment of biological images using computer vision and image recognition, through algorithmic artificial intelligence, big data, and neural networks. Our ultimate goal is to create a platform where users can interact with the software, curate software results, label new structures, or remove others, among many other functionalities. And all this in a system that combines both process automation, artificial intelligence-assisted analysis, and manual analysis by the user.
